His story gave birth to a myth that later became one of the city&#039;s most recognizable symbols.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1518\" data-end=\"2066\">That&#039;s why <strong data-start=\"1534\" data-end=\"1549\">Dragon's Den<\/strong> is not an ordinary attraction. It&#039;s <strong data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1591\">cave<\/strong>, that lives in the collective imagination. <strong data-start=\"1627\" data-end=\"1637\">Krakow<\/strong> loves places with history and character, and here both elements work exceptionally well. It sounds technical, but in practice it gives a very interesting experience. <strong data-start=\"3732\" data-end=\"3743\">well<\/strong> today it serves as an entrance, and the passage through the underground interior has a clearly <strong data-start=\"3817\" data-end=\"3832\">tourist<\/strong>, but still natural in character. There&#039;s no overly dramatic scenery. There are rocks, twilight, coolness, and a sense that you can truly feel the history of this place beneath your feet.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1ur68kf\" data-start=\"3989\" data-end=\"4015\">A Brief History of the Cave<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4017\" data-end=\"4488\">Geologically, it is a type of formation <strong data-start=\"4052\" data-end=\"4063\">karst<\/strong>, was formed in the limestone massif of the hill. The interior of the cave was formed by natural processes, and later the place was repeatedly transformed by humans. In the past, there was also <strong data-start=\"4247\" data-end=\"4256\">bottom<\/strong> access from the Vistula side, and in the area apparently <strong data-start=\"4301\" data-end=\"4328\">there was a famous inn<\/strong>, which sounds almost unbelievable today. And yet, it&#039;s details like these that best demonstrate that this place once had a much more everyday character.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4490\" data-end=\"4975\">In the sources concerning the history of the cave, dates appear <strong data-start=\"4547\" data-end=\"4555\">1829<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4557\" data-end=\"4567\">1830<\/strong> i <strong data-start=\"4570\" data-end=\"4580\">1851<\/strong>, related to security works and changes in access to the interior. Some passages had to be <strong data-start=\"4679\" data-end=\"4692\">wall up<\/strong>, and some sections were adapted to new needs. In later stages, a more convenient descent for visitors was prepared, and the entire area became more accessible. Thanks to this, today <strong data-start=\"4874\" data-end=\"4889\">Dragon's Den<\/strong> it is not a wild passage in the rock, but a safe and interestingly guided attraction.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"jkz0sj\" data-start=\"4977\" data-end=\"5012\">The dragon, the sculpture and the exit to the Vistula River<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5014\" data-end=\"5409\">One of the most powerful moments of the visit is the very end of the tour. After passing through the interior, you emerge almost immediately near the famous dragon sculpture. <strong data-start=\"5169\" data-end=\"5179\">sculpture<\/strong> It has been attracting crowds for years and is a must-see for many people on a family walk.
