History of the Museum
The Princes Czartoryski Museum has a rich and eventful history. Its origins date back to 1801, when Princess Izabela Czartoryska founded the first art collection in Pulawy. After numerous upheavals, including the dispersal of the collection during the war, the museum found its permanent home in Krakow, where it continues to operate today.
