Booked? Great! This guide applies to both models in our fleet: Ninebot MAX G2 and Ninebot G30. From it you will learn how to start, change modes, use the horn or bell, and (in G2) the turn signals. What's more, you'll also be shown how to fold the scooter, secure it at a standstill, and tour comfortably Krakow On two wheels.
Receipt and security codes (important!)
After booking, you will receive two codes from us. The first one is a code for U-lock, that is, the "U" type lock with which the scooter is pinned. The second - to the padlock that secures the charging cable. Each scooter has a lock holder and an attached cable, which is especially useful for longer rentals.
Quick start - MAX G2 and G30
First, place the scooter on a level surface and raise the footrest. To turn it on or off, hold down the power button for 2-3 seconds. Then place your feet - the front one parallel to the platform, and the rear one slightly at an oblique angle. Only then, after gently pushing off, add gas with the maneuver. Remember that braking should be earlier and smooth - use the lever on the left side of the steering wheel.
Changing driving modes
To change the driving mode, quickly press the power button twice. The modes switch cyclically: ECO → D → S. One click turns the lights on or off.
Each mode has its advantages. ECO performs well in crowds or in wet conditions. D is an urban mode, and S - Dynamic, designed for wide and safe stretches. Therefore, we recommend switching the mode only on a straight section of the route.
Direction indicators and beeper
In the model MAX G2 You will find turn signals and a horn button. The switch is located on the left side of the steering wheel - just press the appropriate side to signal a turn. By comparison, in the model G30 There are no turn signals - intentions must be signaled with an outstretched hand. However, both models have different warning solutions: G2 - a horn, and G30 - a rotary bell.
Always use signals briefly and politely, and carry out each maneuver consciously and in advance. When in doubt, check regulations for riding a scooter in Krakow.
Braking
The main brake lever is located on the left side of the handlebars. When you let go of the handlebars, the scooter automatically slows down - it then recovers energy, which is perfectly normal. On slippery cobblestones or in the rain, it is a good idea to increase the braking distance.
Folding the scooter
To fold the scooter, stop and lower the footrest. Then unlock the latch at the base of the handlebar and fold it down. Hook the handlebar hook to the rear fender. To unfold it again, release the catch, lift the column and close the latch. Remember to always check that everything is properly secured before riding.
Speed and range
Both models are set according to the current regulation: the maximum speed is 20 km/h. In practice, this means:
- ECO - about 15 km/h,
- D - up to 20 km/h,
- S - up to 20 km/h (better acceleration).
The range depends on many factors. The scooter in ECO mode can go as far as 70 km, and in sport mode - up to 50 km. Atmospheric conditions, the weight of the user or driving style make a difference here.
Security at a standstill
To avoid theft, always clip your scooter by the frame to a stable element - preferably a bicycle rack, railing or post. Even if you're only gone for a short while, don't give up security.
Charging
If you are planning a longer rental, you will also receive a charging cable. Remember to charge your scooter only in a dry and covered place, such as in an apartment or on a balcony. Ensure free flow of air - do not cover the charger.
Weather conditions and clothing
When it rains or there is a strong wind, slow down and drive more carefully. Avoid metal manhole covers, as well as wet leaves and puddles. In the event of a thunderstorm or downpour, take shelter under a roof.
Wear footwear with a good tread - flip-flops are not a good choice. For colder days, we recommend a thin windbreaker jacket.
Accessories
All our scooters have a phone and beverage holder. This allows you to conveniently use (voice) navigation and have water or coffee on hand in a resealable cup.
